We specialize in publications of keyboard music from the early Renaissance to present day. All Plangere publications are prepared from the earliest available manuscript source or first edition and are engraved and presented in their Urtext form. To assist in opening less familiar areas of the repertoire and demystifying the performance practises of centuries ago, every publication is augmented with information pertaining to the work. This may take the form of articles considering the historical context of the work, conventions of performance and in some cases introductory lessons on the work.
The keyboard repertoire is vast; but it need not be daunting.
Plangere [plän'jâ'rā]: to be struck, or moved, effected by.
